a look into our logo

Perfection Is As Perfection Does

“Ten” represents our pursuit of perfection in design, always pushing for the best work possible. It’s also Kristen’s nickname, reminding you that branding is personal

"Cattle Brand" Foundations

The simplest brand for a company is what we refer to as a “cattle brand,” because it could literally be seared in. A cattle brand consists of a type mark logo in its simplest form.

Styled Out For Prosperity and ️‍🔥

Purple represents prosperity and good fortune, which is in the background of all our services. Each shade in the gradient is a reminder that it takes time, and friction, to create fire.

Legendary In The Streets

Looking like a sticker that was placed on a traffic light high up above a busy intersection, this logo mark is designed to reflect Matt’s tireless devotion to the art of writing on walls.

What AI tools do you use?

Gemini, Grok, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Le Chat, DeepSeek, Qwen, ElevenLabs, Logic X Pro. These tools are used regularly for conceptual design, developing ideas, and generating content. It is important to remember that AI imagery especially still requires a tremendous amount of human prompting, as well as cleanup, in order for it to be usable as a professional design asset. That is a function that requires a professional, and is not recommended for non-designers.

I made a logo with AI, can you fix it?

Maybe, but we probably would choose not to do that. The more that clients are exploring AI themselves, it is helping us understand where they are coming from and what they are ultimately looking for. You’ll be pleasantly surprised to learn that we are even more adept at picking up on your social cues, human interest, and the things that make you unique - compared to how AI is designed to fulfill what it thinks will please you. Our work will blow your mind, and make you say “yeah!”

Do you charge by the hour, per project, or by the day?

We have package rates for certain deliverables such as blog posts of a certain length, or specific types of social media ads, which begin at $500/month and scale up depending on how consistently a client needs our services. Some pay per project of several thousand dollars, others choose to retain us for the year and grow a 6-figure full-service program. Our credit system gives clients the flexibility to have a set amount of our output every month, with a designated series of types of content they can buy for a set rate. Others will engage with us by having us travel to their location for on-site training, collaborations, and live activations. We are flexible, and willing to negotiate for projects we believe in and scopes that fit our availability.

What is the typical lead time on a design or copywriting project?

Typical lead time for initial projects is 3 - 4 weeks. For rush jobs, we can complete things like websites, type mark logos, and blog posts within 1 - 2 weeks for an additional fee. If given the time table, we can front-load production and have it distributed on a schedule for months on end.

What website tools do you use?

Generally speaking these days we run client websites on Wix Studio because they are easy for non-developers to use, so once we hand off a website, clients can keep running with them. For certain cases, and many of our own sites (like this one) we use WordPress with Elementor Pro. Throughout the years we have built on SquareSpace, and have limited experience with Shopify. Kristen developed early raw HTML/CSS (and Flash) websites, and Matt has been vibe coding like crazy, so if you want or need something entirely custom (within reason) we can make it happen.

What social media platforms do you recommend?

Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), Twitter (yes we still call it that instead of X), Reddit, and LinkedIn.

What design tools do you use?

Adobe Creative Suite, as well as various Android mobile apps for image editing. We can work with clients using Canva as well.

Do you have employees, or is it “just the two of you?”

Though we have hired sub-contractors and worked together with other agencies or freelance creatives from time to time, yes, it is generally just the two of us here at Ten Kelly Designs. But at the end of the day, media is only as mighty as the people behind it. There has never been a content output demand from a client we have not met, and we’ve produced a feature film on no budget in less than 90 days. We have silenced more doubters than you could imagine, so trust us, just the two of us is more than competitors can handle.

How big can you scale up if I need a lot more content?

When it comes to generating organic impressions or buying them via paid ads online, or even in traditional contexts, we can essentially buy as much media as an agency of any size. While a major advertising agency could have a team of (15) people devoted to your account, we can outwork them and out perform them, for much less money. The outdoor advertising vendors and social media companies do not discriminate, and offer the same products (for the most part) to any size company via their DIY platform. Over the years we have created many campaign-specific accounts to amplify a message, and use subliminal messaging techniques to cause conversions.

Why don’t you use TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, or any other social media platforms?

Over the last (10) years we have explored and experimented with almost every social media platform there is, and have found that we have the best performance results on the platforms we chose. Our opinion is that there is no value whatsoever to Pinterest anymore, Snapchat is a less efficient and infrequently trafficked version of Instagram, and TikTok is not designed for brand longevity. Those are our opinions, and others are of course likely to disagree with that. But our company is not beholden to any social media company, which gives us the freedom to advise clients on whatever other tactics will bring them the best results.
